Plan swim, bike and run

All three sports in one calendar, each with the detail it needs.

  • Multisport workouts: tag each step swim, bike or run, and a brick session is clear at a glance
  • A target for each sport: pace on the run, speed or watts on the bike, pace per 100 in the water
  • Swim sessions set in a pool or open water, with the stroke and swim kit on each step
  • Training groups by level or target race, so only those members are notified of a session
All details5
  • GPX routes on a map for run, bike and multisport sessions
  • An equipment list on each session, from wetsuit to bike and helmet
  • Recurring sessions on the days you choose
  • Reusable workout templates, shared by all your coaches
  • Training places with photos and descriptions, for the lake as well as the pool
Guide: Build a structured workout
A training with its workout: three rounds of a bike step and a run step, each with a power zone

Send workouts to the watch

Each member sends the session to their own watch. This is what each watch accepts.

MultisportEvery stepNoNoLegs only
  • Garmin Connect receives a multisport workout with every step and repeat
  • Apple Watch receives the swim, bike and run legs with automatic transitions, without the steps inside each leg
  • An open-water swim stops the whole multisport session going to Garmin Connect, which takes pool swims only
  • Routes go to Garmin Connect only, from a training or a race
  • Garmin Connect, COROS and Suunto work from an iPhone or an Android phone after a one-time connection; Apple Watch needs an iPhone

03

Take the club to the race

Add the race once, and everyone has the same details on race morning.

  • Club races with a list of who is going
  • Meeting point, departure, contact person and accommodation for the trip
  • The race route on a map, which members can send to Garmin Connect
  • Entry fees and trip costs collected in the app, and paid straight to your club

Every result, sport by sport

After a triathlon, each member adds their times to the club's results.

  • Swim time, Bike time and Run time on a triathlon, below the finish time
  • Distance, overall position and position in category, such as M40-44
  • Members enter their own result, and coaches can add or correct one for them
  • The whole club sees the results on the race, and each member's latest three stay on their profile
Good to know

T1 and T2 are not entered separately, so the three legs add up to less than the finish time.

Each race has one list. If your club raced the sprint and the Olympic on the same day, everyone is on it, with their distance next to their name.

The rest of the club

The admin every club has to do, in the same app.

  • Licences and medical certificates: members upload their own, and coaches see what is valid, expiring soon or missing
  • Renewal dates, email reminders that show the fee, and payment in the app
  • Parents register their children from their own profile, and can pay for them
  • The Coach Web Portal, for the work you would rather do on a computer
Guide: Collect member documents

Common questions

What to know before you move your club over.

Which club type should a triathlon club choose?

Triathlon. It puts triathlon first when you add a race, and every sport stays available when you add a training.

Can one workout mix swim, bike and run?

Yes. Choose Multisport as the sport of the training, then pick the sport of each step. Steps can sit inside a repeat, so three rounds of bike and run stay one block.

Can a brick session go to a COROS or Suunto watch?

Not as one workout, because neither takes multisport. A coach can publish the bike and the run as two trainings, which both watches accept. Garmin Connect and Apple Watch take the whole session.

Can members record T1 and T2?

No. Konia has a finish time and a time for each leg, with no field for transitions.

Does Konia handle federation licences?

Only as a document. Konia is not connected to any federation and does not issue licences. Each member uploads their licence, with an optional expiry date, and coaches see where everyone stands.

Is Konia a training plan app?

No. Konia is for what the club does together: shared sessions, races and members. It has no individual training plans.

Does every member need the app?

Yes. Members join your club with its invite code, on an iPhone or an Android phone. Konia is free to download.
